Courts Resurfacing Update!
Happy Friday, neighbors! As a reminder, our newly surfaced courts are still closed as we complete our fencing and surface project. We’ve made great progress, but lined and playable courts are still weeks out.
If your kiddos ride e-bikes, please remind them of the closure. Once complete, only foot traffic will be allowed on all courts. No bikes, e-bikes, skateboards, scooters or any other non-feet will be allowed on the surface.

CLUB ACTIVITY COURTS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION
Carefree Club and future Carefree Club members!
As you'll see on the north end of Leisure Lane this week, the Carefree Club is beginning our work to renovate our activity courts for members. The Board of Directors has authorized this work in phases to maintain healthy reserves and our annual budget. The phases below may change at any time pending Board action.
1) Basketball and Pickleball Courts and Fencing
Beginning this week, we're resurfacing the existing basketball courts and making room for a new set of pickleball courts on the current east court. We're also installing new fencing in between, and repairing existing fencing, around these two courts.
2) Tennis Court Resurfacing and Fencing (Pending 2027)
We hope to begin work in early 2027 on the existing tennis courts to level and resurface the existing courts. We'll also repair and replace needed fencing to complete a secure 10ft fence around both sets of courts.
3) Lighting and Court Access (Pending 2028)
As a reminder, our facilities including the clubhouse, courts and pool are funded by, and only for, members of the Carefree Club. The final phase we intend is to provide updated lighting and secure the courts for member use by way of electronic access.
Any lot in Carefree North or South can join the Club! Reach out if you're interested.
