"Greenwood offers a strong workforce, a strategic location, and a business environment that supports long-term success." — Van "Rabbit" Ladnier, Vice President of Pipeline Services, NPL Construction
Van’s quote says it all. And today, we made our partnership official!
The EDF is proud to announce that NPL Construction Co. has established fabrication and manufacturing operations in the Greenwood-Leflore Industrial Park. This afternoon, we celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming NPL to our community.
NPL Construction, part of Centuri Group and a leading name in utility and energy infrastructure services, will operate a 70,000-square-foot facility in Greenwood, assembling critical components for the utility and energy sectors nationwide. The project represents a corporate investment of more than $1.9 million and will create more than 40 high-wage jobs for our region.
This is exactly the kind of announcement that reminds us why we do this work. Quality jobs. Meaningful investment. A growing industrial park. And a company that looked at Greenwood and made the decision to invest here.
We are deeply grateful for the partners who made this possible. Thanks to Governor Tate Reeves and the Mississippi Development Authority for their commitment to bringing quality investment to Mississippi communities. And thanks to the City of Greenwood and Leflore County, MS for their economic development partnership – now more than 70 years strong. It truly takes a team to make projects like this a reality.
Finally, and most importantly, we want to welcome NPL Construction to Greenwood! We are glad you are here, and we look forward to building our partnership. Here’s to many years of success at your facilities around the country, including your newest one in Greenwood, Mississippi!
