There’s a difference between a kid who knows they’re Jewish and a kid who loves being Jewish.

The second one doesn’t come from more lessons. It comes from three things: something they’re proud of, somewhere they belong, and room to ask questions without turning it into a lecture.

That’s the thing that lasts, not the facts they memorize, the feeling they carry.

And they mostly catch that feeling from watching you have it too.

Follow along for more of this. 🤍

Don’t turn a blind eye. 👀

Parshas Ki Seitzei reminds us that sometimes, the things we choose to notice, and what we choose to do about them, matter more than we realize.

A little Torah thought for the week.

Most of us grew up thinking teshuva meant confession. listing everything you did wrong and feeling bad enough about it. Or that it’s some test you have to pass before you’re “allowed” back. Or that if you’ve drifted far enough from anything Jewish, it’s basically too late.

None of that’s actually true.

The word itself just means return. It’s not asking you to earn your way back with the right words or the perfect amount of remorse, it’s asking you to take one small step toward the person you already know you want to be.

And the fact that you’ve drifted? That’s not a problem the process has to work around. That’s literally why the process exists.

So if you’ve been walking around feeling behind, or like this whole thing runs on guilt, let this be what shifts it. The door was never closing on you. You just have to turn around.

Save this for the moment you need it.

Before you believe something, look into it.
Sounds obvious… but the Torah actually teaches us this too 👀

In Paris for just a few hours. Had to go to what is considered the best kosher patisserie in Paris which I assume makes it the best in the world. It definitely lived up to the hype.
