ATTENTION: As was announced by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC) a few months ago, FRIENDS FIRST will dissolve this Fall (2022), and the STARS and Project Aim programs along with some staff have become part of the BBBSC team to continue this important work.

To all our friends over the 28 years FRIENDS FIRST has been positively impacting youth, thank you. Our legacy will go on to serve more youth in Colorado, and for that we are grateful. We hope you follow our journey with BBBSC.

We have some exciting news about the future of FRIENDS FIRST! --

BBBSC is excited to announce its intended acquisition of the STARS peer-to-peer mentoring program from FRIENDS FIRST.

Over the course of 26 years, FRIENDS FIRST perfected the peer-to-peer evidence informed mentoring program Students Teaching About Relationships and Success (STARS). BBBSC’s acquisition of the STARS program ensures the continued success and growth of the program and expands BBBSC’s platform of mentoring programs in support of Colorado youth.
