Today we celebrate a powerful milestone ✨

A survivor has officially graduated from our Bridgeport home and is stepping into independent living—on her own terms, with strength, stability, and hope.

Moments like this remind us what’s possible when survivors are supported with the right tools, safe housing, and a community that believes in them.

In her own words, Lotus (name changed) shares:

“As I continue to transition into the next chapter of my journey in recovery, I am grateful for the guidance and opportunities the PEHT program has given to me. Living independently will allow me to continue applying the tools I have learned, while maintaining stability, responsibility, and a positive environment for myself. I am committed to continuing my process of staying connected to supportive resources and building a safe and productive future. I am thankful to be a part of the PEHT family.”

We are so proud of you, Lotus. Your resilience is inspiring 💛

Today we celebrate an important milestone in one survivor’s journey of healing and recovery.

“Mary” (name changed for confidentiality) has completed her time in our Transitional Housing Program and is moving into her own apartment. This moment represents far more than a change in housing — it reflects the courage, persistence, and strength required to rebuild a life after exploitation.

Mary shared this reflection about her time in the program:

"This program has been a very important part of my growth and stability, and I am grateful for the support and guidance I received while being here. It helped me build the tools and confidence I needed to move forward. While leaving is emotional, I feel ready to take the next steps. I am hopeful and excited about moving into my own place and continuing to build a stable, positive life."

This month, several survivors in our programs are reaching this same milestone and moving into apartments of their own. Each transition represents months and years of healing work, rebuilding trust, gaining stability, and reclaiming independence.

The unimaginable abuse and exploitation survivors have endured does not define their future. Their resilience, courage, and determination do.

As these women step into a new chapter, we invite our community to surround them with the support and care they deserve. One meaningful way you can help is by contributing to their new beginnings.

You can help make Mary’s new apartment a place of stability and comfort by purchasing an item from her Amazon wishlist! Join us in supporting Mary in her journey and follow us all month long as we celebrate each woman in her next chapter . you can be part of the story of change and hope.

This Women’s History Month, we honor the women who lead, advocate, and stand on the frontlines of the fight against human trafficking.

At PEHT, our work is driven by women leaders, survivor leaders, and dedicated allies who show up every day committed to advancing women’s rights and ensuring that survivors of human trafficking can reclaim their freedom, dignity, and future.

We commend all those who choose to lead and are transforming systems with their courage and lived expertise. And the advocates, partners, and community members who stand beside them are some of our fiercest ambassadors in this fight.

This month—and every month—we celebrate the women and allies who refuse to look away, who amplify survivor voices, and who continue working toward a world where exploitation has no place.

We also want to highlight PEHT products that are survivor made in our store online or in person! You can support survivors in multiple ways including purchasing with a purpose for yourself and your loved ones.

Thank you for standing with us. 💜
