Q&A with GRTA President, Leslie Pottow đ
How has horseback riding and the trails impacted your life?
Physically, emotionally and spiritually. However overly dramatic this might sound, it is true. Riding has taught to fall gracefully, both literally and metaphorically. I fall, I brush myself off, and I get back on again. Horseback riding, at any age (I didnât take it up until my late fifties) is a lesson in humility. It is not a matter of if but of when you will fall. Riding has taught me to relinquish control. It requires mutual respect and clear communication between man and horse. The horse can only react to signals; it receives what you send.. I find the sport to be equally invigorating, challenging and enlightening. Easy Kelsey introduced me to the trails several years ago. Venturing beyond the ring is freeing and fun.
