The Jazz Loft: On June 27th, 2026, you can find our founder and artistic director Bennie Wallace live in concert at The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook, NY. Joining Bennie on the bandstand will be Donald Vega, Anthony Wilson, Peter Washington, and Herlin Riley.

Like BackCountry Jazz, the Jazz Loft puts a high value on music education as well as performances. We’re excited to have a musical conversation on their stage this summer.

In addition to our masterclasses, workshops, and mentorships, BackCountry Jazz provides young musicians experience on the bandstand as well.

The BCJazz BeBoppers is an ensemble of our advanced students who perform together year-round. Having gained local popularity as an in-demand performing group, they play at local festivals, events, churches, and venues in Fairfield County.
