The BBBS team wants to give a huge shoutout to Greenville Women Giving for their continued support and Tomorrow's Rainbow in Travelers Rest for an incredible camp experience this past weekend!

Our “Rainbow Retreat” was filled with learning, adventure, and connection. We explored coping skills through mindfulness and breathing exercises, worked together on problem-solving games, enjoyed a gorgeous hike through the woods (where we even spotted bison!), and, of course, led, groomed, and bonded with the minis and donkeys.

Beth Jackson, Director of Tomorrow's Rainbow, and her amazing team of volunteers went above and beyond to create a meaningful experience for our youth. We can't wait to go back! 💙🌈

Our Chef’s Dinner at Juniper was filled with incredible flavors, unforgettable moments, and meaningful stories. Chef Malaki crafted an outstanding menu for the evening, and Beverage Director Baileigh Wilson thoughtfully paired wines with each course.

One of the highlights was hearing from our Program Manager, Allison Caulk, along with featured speaker Miss Charleston Lindsay Jones. Lindsay shared her experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters as a Big Sister and her upcoming journey to compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant this June.

Another meaningful moment was having Little Sister Skylar and her Big Sister Cassie join us for the evening. Skylar’s cookbook, featuring favorite recipes they have cooked together, was a featured auction item and served as a reminder of the connection and lasting impact mentorship can create.

Thank you to everyone who attended, as well as all of our generous Feast for Kids’ Sake sponsors, for making this special evening possible. Your support helps create life-changing mentoring relationships for local youth in our community.

From a passing rainstorm to a breathtaking sunset, the beautiful views from UP on the Roof for our Chef’s Dinner last Saturday were so memorable.

Chef Nate created an incredible dining experience, and we are so thankful for the care, creativity, and hospitality General Manager Rick and his team brought to every detail.

A true highlight was hearing from our Match of the Year, Big Sister Laura and Little Sister Miley. Their story of building a meaningful connection was both heartfelt and inspiring, reminding us all of the lasting impact of mentorship.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success in support of local kids and teens. We are especially grateful to our Feast for Kids’ Sake sponsors who make these life-changing relationships possible.

Join us at Dray Bar & Grill at 6:30 PM for an evening that is equal parts indulgent and meaningful...think chef-crafted courses that build with every bite, perfectly paired sips, and a “this is so worth it” feeling.

And then there is the silent auction...think weekend escapes, unique culinary experiences, a little self-care, a bit of culture, and meaningful pieces created by our Bigs, Littles, and BBBS Upstate team.

Great food. Great company. A great cause.

We were honored today to receive this generous check from OG ALLIANCE in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate. Our Events & Fundraising Officer, Madeline Carragher, was grateful to accept it on behalf of our team.

We are thankful that OG ALLIANCE reached out to make us a part of Perrypalooza, a musical event celebrating the life of Perry Bell, Maniax’s band member, great friend, and longtime Big Brother.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave so generously, and helped honor a life that made a lasting difference. We are especially grateful for our partnership and friendship with The Maniaxs and OG ALLIANCE!

🍝 This weekend, our Bigs and Littles traded their usual routine for aprons and pasta dough at The Cook’s Station with Chef Tazia. Starting from scratch, they mixed, rolled, and shaped their way to handmade pasta, learning that patience (and a little mess!) is all part of the process. Each step was an opportunity to connect and create something they could be proud of and enjoy eating together.

Special thanks to Chef Tazia, The Cook’s Station, and our incredible sponsors for making this day possible. And a big thank you to our Greenville County Program Specialist, Jada Primus, for being part of the experience and cheering on our matches along the way.

There’s nothing like good food to bring people together 🍳🥞

This past Saturday, our Bigs and Littles stepped into the kitchen at Spartanburg Community College for a hands-on cooking class led by Chef Shaun. The recipe? Equal parts creativity, delicious bites, and fun. From mastering the basics to flipping their own one-of-a-kind pancake creations, these matches got a taste of teamwork and imagination. Shoutout to our Spartanburg County Program Specialist, Lindsey Spencer, for joining in on the fun!

Many thanks to Chef Shaun, Spartanburg Community College, and all of our generous sponsors for cooking up this great event!
