Greenville University was founded in 1892 by the Free Methodist Church with the intent to provide a distinctive, Christ-centered college education for men and women. Hogue, used the motto "education for character" to describe the college's purpose. Its mission 120 years later - empowering students for lives of character and service - echoes that purpose.

The impact of athletics extends far beyond the competition floor.

For recent Greenville University graduate Donovan Diviney, serving as a founding member and co-captain of the men's gymnastics team helped develop skills that continue to shape him today.
