We were blessed to share another heartwarming visit with the remarkable Veterans at Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged, spreading joy and compassion. The volunteer opportunities within VHVG are truly life-enriching, and these visits stand out as a beacon of hope and connection for those who need it most. As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month, let's remember the profound impact of visiting those who crave human connection and warmth. Our deepest gratitude goes to the volunteers who poured love and encouragement into this visit, bringing sunny smiles, attentive ears, and inspiring stories that lift spirits.

Another wonderful evening of fellowship, laughter, and encouragement with our veterans and their spouses at Legacy Reserve. 🇺🇸

The Vets Helping Vets team gathered together to share refreshments, snacks, stories, smiles, and heartfelt conversations with some incredible men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.

From old military memories to new friendships being formed around the table, it was a blessing to see veterans connecting with one another and enjoying time together in such a warm atmosphere. Moments like these remind us how important it is that our veterans know they are appreciated, remembered, and never forgotten.

A special thank you to every VHV volunteer who took time out of their evening to come love on our veterans. Your kindness, laughter, and servant hearts truly make a difference.

Grateful for another meaningful day with our Vets Helping Vets family 🙏🇺🇸

Yesterday, our incredible volunteers spent time visiting our veterans at Legacy Reserve at Fairview Park, bringing smiles, sharing coffee and donuts, and swapping stories that reminded us all what true camaraderie looks like.

Big thank you to Duck Donuts for providing donuts for our veterans, and another ‘big thank you’ to the Piedmont Wood Carvers Club for gifting our Veterans with a hand carved comfort angel.

Moments like these matter. A simple visit can turn into laughter, connection, and the start of new friendships. It’s an honor to stand alongside men and women who continue to serve by showing up for those who once served us all.

Thank you to every member of Vets Helping Vets for your heart, your time, and your unwavering commitment to our veteran community. You’re making a difference—one visit, one conversation, one smile at a time.

This week we had the incredible honor of spending time with some true heroes at a local nursing home. Sitting with these veterans, listening to their stories, and sharing a few laughs was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

Each story carried a piece of history—moments of courage, resilience, and deep love for our country. It was humbling to hear firsthand experiences that we often only read about in books. Beyond their service, it was just as special to connect on a human level—through smiles, jokes, and meaningful conversations that will stay with us.

These moments with our heroes are truly something special. They remind us of the importance of slowing down, listening, and honoring those who paved the way for the lives we live today.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit with veterans, take it. A little time, a listening ear, and a heartfelt thank you can mean more than you know.

Grateful for today and for those who have served ❤️

Our very own VP was nominated to be Home Town Hero at last nights hockey game. And if you look close enough our sweet little ambassador can be seen next to her.
