We are half way through Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15), a celebration of Hispanic and Latino history, culture, and contributions to the United States. From vibrant art and traditional foods to advocacy and community leadership, this month honors the many ways Hispanic and Latino communities have shaped our country.

The Heron Institute proudly supports students of all backgrounds, helping them thrive and achieve their goals. The month of celebration aligns with key independence days in Central and South America:
September 15 - Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua
September 16 – Mexico
