What an incredible honor! During the 100 Black Men of America National Conference, two of our board members, Eric Bamberg and Corey Collington, had the opportunity to meet Jesse Swannigan, the last surviving founding member of 100 Black Men of America.

At 93 years young, Mr. Swannigan is still sharp as a tack. He graciously shared stories and reflections from his years of service and involvement in the organization. Hearing firsthand about the vision and history that helped shape this great brotherhood was truly inspiring.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from one of the pioneers whose legacy continues to impact generations through mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment. Thank you, Mr. Swannigan, for your leadership and for helping lay the foundation for the work we continue today.

Members of 100 Black Men of Upstate SC, Inc. were honored to participate in the Brothers in Healing gathering alongside the Upstate Fatherhood Coalition and Stop the Violence Coalition.

It was a powerful evening of conversation, healing, and brotherhood focused on mental health, fatherhood, trauma, and community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this impactful event possible.
