Every $6 does more than provide a meal; it's a knock on the door, a friendly face, a moment of connection for a neighbor who might not see anyone else that day.

Since 1968, Meals on Wheels Greenville has been showing up for the homebound members of our community, one visit at a time. Whether through meal delivery routes, the Table Setters monthly giving program, or events like the Sweetheart Charity Ball and Meals on Wheels, the mission stays the same.

Today, on , we’re celebrating the people who make our mission possible and the neighbors who inspire us to keep meals moving.

The recipient of our 15 millionth meal, Ms. Betty, has been on service since 2022, and there’s not a single volunteer or staff member who has left her door without a smile on their face and warmth in their heart.

“I love the contact,” said Ms. Betty. “I have made so many friends, so many people who have told me to reach out to them if I ever need anything. I’m so thankful.” Her kindness and positivity are truly contagious. She even put on her special celebration glasses for this milestone delivery. 🥳

A special thank-you to Scott, the volunteer who delivered our 15 millionth meal, and to all the volunteers who give their time to make moments like this possible.

Behind every meal is a volunteer who chose to show up. We could not have reached 15 million meals delivered without every volunteer who signed up to serve.

Whether it’s packing meals in our kitchen, loading coolers, assisting at our office, or delivering friendly visits along with a nutritious meal, our volunteers have made every one of those 15 million meals delivered possible—thank you! 💙

While we celebrate 15 million meals served, we know our work is far from over. The demand for our services continues to grow, and we are already continuing the count to the next 15 million meals.

A meal nourishes the body, but a kind word can nourish the heart. 💌 Thank you to the 110 students from USC School of Medicine Greenville for taking the time to handwrite and personally address 110 letters to our clients.

For neighbors experiencing social isolation, these letters are more than just words on paper. They’re a reminder that someone is thinking about them and that kindness lasts long after the letter is read. 💙
