GNHA hiking got in a great hike 🥾between rain showers at Paris Mountain State Park. 10+ miles of fresh air and good conversation. Join us on more than 20 hikes per month in the Upstate of SC and Western NC.

gnhahiking just completed one of the best hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park 🏞️ 5 miles to the summit of Mt LeConte via the Alum Cave Trail. Mt LeConte is the 3rd highest mountain in the Smoky Mountains at 6593 elevation with incredible views from the summit. It was a special treat to see the llamas that supply the lodge at the top.

Some recent spring adventures by the club included a fun weekend tent camping in the Smoky Mountains at Standing Indian Campground, Franklin, NC.⛺️ We look forward to returning to the Smokies October 16-18 for our Fall Campout at Cosby Campground. We’ll offer various hikes, eat great food, and of course relax and socialize around the campfire!🔥🪵 It’s not too early to sign up. Details are posted on the GNHA Meetup page:

GNHA Dean’s List hikers were treated to a gorgeous day for their recent trek to Twin Falls in Pisgah Nat’l Forest. Join us on a hike soon before the heat and humidity kick in! GNHA is ON THE MOVE!🥾In just the past week, we have hiked at Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park, Croft State Park, the Palmetto Trail (Saluda Passage), Paris Mountain State Park, Bearwallow Mountain, Clemson Experimental Forest, and the Appalachian Trail (Sam’s Gap to Big Bald). March 21 - Celebrated our annual meeting on Saturday with over 60 members attending. Great food, a talk by Tim Lee and an annual business meeting. Thanks to all of our hike leaders and board members (new, returning, and rotating off) that make this club what it is.
