GNHA’s annual Hike Leader Social was held yesterday at Golden Grove Farm & Brew. Some adventurous attendees even played disc golf. (We won’t mention whose discs went in the pond!) It was a beautiful fall day and fun to hang out with each other off the trails. Thank you to all of our hike leaders for making our weekly treks possible!🥾👏🏆 We always need more leaders. Ready for some leaf peeping? Come join us for the our annual fall campout in Great Smoky Mountains National Park from Oct. 16-18.

We are planning a fun weekend with a couple of happy hours, gatherings around the campfire and plenty of gorgeous hikes at the peak of fall foliage! Hikes are reserved for campers, but if the hikes don't fill up, you're welcome to join us for the day.

combined a Pisgah hike with a trip to Jeter Mountain Farm for apples, c***r donuts and other treats. Fall is the best and we are just getting started.

took a shady 9 mile walk in DuPont State Forest to beat the heat. Prime hiking season is almost here. You can pick from 20 plus hikes every month.

headed to Pisgah National Forest for higher elevation and cooler temps. It did not disappoint.

got a unique chance to explore some of Conestee Falls trails this week and see several the waterfalls in that magical area.

Last Saturday GNHA members explored the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area and hiked Silver Steps Falls Trail to Jones Gap Trail to Coldsprings Branch Trail to Tom Miller Trail. It is always wonderful to explore this beautiful, lush region of upstate SC!

Love hiking, the outdoors, and giving back? Join the GNHA Team for the Fall 2026 Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge® Trailfest on December 12, 2026 at Table Rock State Park!

This special event combines outdoor adventure with a great cause—raising funds to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses across South Carolina.

Choose your challenge:

22 miles: challenging, full-day Trailblaze experience
12 miles: Mid-distance challenge with two start options
2-mile Lake Loop: Family-friendly route for all ages
Throughout the day, you’ll be supported by aid stations, volunteers, and a community united by a shared purpose: helping bring hope, strength, and joy to children and families facing critical illness.

After the hikes, participants and supporters will gather at Pinnacle Pavilion for a celebration dinner and festival featuring wish inspiration, participant awards, music, games, community activities and Trailblazer-style experiences.
