Kinda chic that h**p is still legal in South Carolina — and it didn’t happen by accident.

It took our team, industry leaders across the state, and legislators who were willing to hear us out at the statehouse. Every conversation, every phone call, every email, every visit, every person who showed up made the difference.

We’re grateful for the champions who stood with us this session. There’s still a lot of work ahead, but we’ve got the numbers and the momentum to keep building on what we’ve accomplished. Here’s to next year. 🌿

The Charleston event was a reminder of just how much can accomplish when passionate people come together for a common cause.

First and foremost, thank you to our incredible SCHAA team. The countless hours, late nights, and unwavering dedication throughout this legislative session did not go unnoticed. Because of our commitment, our industry has a voice where it matters most.

We also want to recognize the true champions in the South Carolina House and Senate who stood with our industry this session. While not every legislator who has supported us over the years was able to attend, those who were able to join us represent the leadership and courage it takes to fight for South Carolina’s small businesses and consumers. We are incredibly grateful for each of you.

The work is far from over. The next legislative session is already on the horizon, and if we want to continue protecting our industry and building on what we’ve accomplished, we must continue growing SCHAA. That means expanding our membership, increasing our resources, and raising the funds necessary to remain effective at the State House.

Every membership, every donation, every event attended, and every conversation helps strengthen our voice.

As election season approaches, take the time to learn where candidates stand on the issues that matter to our industry. An informed vote makes a difference.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s continue building an association that is stronger, better funded, and more influential than ever before.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, resilience, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit that built this great nation.

Here in South Carolina, we’re especially grateful to celebrate a victory that proved what can happen when people come together for a common cause. This year, our members, supporters, legislators, and industry partners stood united to protect legal h**p, preserve thousands of jobs, and defend the small businesses that keep our communities strong.

This victory wasn’t the work of one person or one organization—it was the result of countless phone calls, meetings, testimony, advocacy, and Americans exercising their voices.

As we celebrate our nation’s past, we’re also looking ahead. The work isn’t over, but together we’ll continue fighting for common-sense policies, free enterprise, and the future of South Carolina’s h**p industry.
