This Friday, February 13, there is something a little different — and really special — at Sober Not Boring / Outreach 419

They are featuring Brian Gray, offering FREE Acudetox sessions and a simple, down-to-earth explanation of what it is and how it works.
Brian is an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist trained in the NADA Acudetox protocol, which uses the placement of five tiny needles in each ear. This protocol works with the body’s fight-or-flight response and is known to help with anxiety, fear, grief, and anger. It was originally developed for addiction treatment and is now widely used as a wellness practice.

The needles are very small, discomfort is minimal, and once they’re placed you’ll sit quietly for about 25–45 minutes. Brian will walk people through the process, answer questions, and help demystify what’s happening — no pressure, no expectations.

Brian is offering this at no cost, simply as a way to give back.
Bring a friend, come curious, or just come hang out and learn something new.

Sober Not Boring is about community, connection, and trying things that help us regulate, heal, and feel human again. This is a great opportunity to experience something calming in a safe, supportive space.

At the Montcalm Alano Club, we take the Twelve Steps seriously—not just as material to be read, but as a process to be lived, shared, and passed on.

The steps were never meant to be worked in isolation or led by someone who has only studied them. They are learned best in relationship—with people who have walked the steps themselves, who currently have a sponsor, and who remain actively connected to the recovery community.

That lived experience matters. It’s what allows questions to be answered honestly, blind spots to be named with care, and growth to happen safely. It’s also what keeps the steps rooted in humility, accountability, and shared responsibility rather than theory.

Our Saturday NA Step Study is built around that principle. The people helping guide this group are individuals who have worked the steps, continue to work a program, have sponsors, and are actively involved in the recovery community. That foundation is what helps the steps do what they were designed to do—create real, lasting change.

If you’re looking to walk through the Twelve Steps with people who’ve been there and are still showing up, you’re welcome here.
📍 Saturdays at 3:30 PM
📍 Montcalm Alano Club | 117 E Montcalm St, Greenville
🗓 Sessions begin February 14, 2026
What we could never do alone, we can do together—and experience is a big part of why that works.
