We are so grateful to Jerry Blassingame, founder and CEO of Soteria CDC, for facilitating a career Q&A with the residents of Jasmine Road this morning.

Jerry generously shared his personal journey, the inspiration behind Soteria, and the organization’s mission to empower individuals through education, affordable housing, job training, financial literacy, and community support.

We are always thankful for opportunities like these that connect the women of Jasmine Road with local leaders, organizations, and resources throughout our community. 💜

This morning, Jasmine Road residents took an exciting step in their educational journey as Kim Silver, Jasmine Road Board Chair and dean of the School of Business and Computer Technology at Greenville Technical College, taught the first class in a 10-week LIFE Skills course.

Equivalent to Greenville Technical College’s freshman seminar, this course equips residents with valuable skills in personal growth and development, career exploration, workplace communication, and financial education.

Each resident received a syllabus, agenda, notebook, highlighter, pen, tote bag, pencil case, bookmark, and textbook as they begin this transformative experience.

We are grateful for this partnership and excited to see the growth, confidence, and opportunities that will emerge over the next 10 weeks. 💙📚
