Last Friday was such a special day at Highland Elementary School in Greeneville, TN!

I had the sweetest time making an appearance as Miss Greene County TN at their Walk-a-Thon to raise money for the school! The students, teachers, and staff were so welcoming and amazing, and it was such a joy to be surrounded by so much kindness and school spirit!

A special thank you to Mrs. Smith, the principal, for inviting me and making me feel so welcome! It was truly an honor to be part of such a wonderful event!

I’m also so thankful I got to spend time with and get to know Miss East Tennessee Teen, Eliza Girton! It’s always so special getting to make memories and build friendships through these amazing opportunities!

Thank you, Highland Elementary, for such a memorable day!

While I’m so excited for everything this year as Miss Greene County 2027 will bring, I thought I’d share a little more about the things that make me me outside of the crown!

From sushi dates and Swig runs with friends, to concerts, football games, hiking through East Tennessee, traveling to Montana with my best friend, and spending time with my family and my pup Avery, I’m happiest making memories with the people I love most. 🤍

I’ve always loved being outdoors and trying new things whether that’s wakeboarding all summer, exploring somewhere new, visiting a zoo, or finding another adventure around the corner.

I’m so grateful for all of the little moments, big adventures, and amazing people that have shaped who I am. I can’t wait to continue making memories and sharing this next chapter with all of you!

A weekend I’ll never forget 🤍

Oktoberfest in Greeneville was such a special way to begin my journey as Miss Greene County 2027!

I had the most wonderful time meeting so many people who live, work, and pour their hearts into this community. From the local businesses and vendors to the families, volunteers, and everyone who stopped to say hello, I was welcomed with such open arms.

What stood out to me most was how tight-knit, genuine, and full of heart this community is. I loved hearing people’s stories, learning more about Greeneville, and seeing the pride everyone has for the place they call home.

I’m so grateful that my first official appearance gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and I’m already looking forward to all the memories and connections this year will bring.

Thank you, Greene County, for welcoming me so warmly. I’m so excited to represent you!

It is with an incredibly grateful heart that I officially introduce myself as Miss Greene County 2027, Berkley Pafford!

This crown represents so much more than a title. It represents a new journey, new opportunities, and a chance to use this platform to grow, serve, and make a meaningful impact. I am beyond excited for everything this next chapter has in store!

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to The Encounter, Ethel Smawley, Teresa Hamblen, Rene Greene, and de Mette Ginn for your kindness, encouragement, and support. Thank you for helping make this moment so special.

To my Gigi, Bridget there will never be enough words to thank you for your unconditional love and unwavering support. You have always believed in me, and having you by my side makes this accomplishment even more meaningful. 🤍

I am especially excited to begin working with my director, April Leonard. I cannot wait to learn from you, grow together, and make this an incredible year!

And congratulations Dakota, Maddie, and Eliza! I am so excited to share this experience with each of you and look forward to getting to know you throughout this journey!

Congratulations to Berkley Pafford, Miss Greene County 2027!

Berkley, I am so excited for you and for everything this next year has in store. Being Miss Greene County has meant more to me than I could ever fully put into words, and I hope you fall in love with this community and this organization just as much as I did.

Soak in every appearance, every new friendship, every opportunity to serve, and every little moment along the way — it truly goes by in the blink of an eye.

I couldn’t be more excited to pass this special title on to you and to cheer you on as you make it completely your own. I know you have such an incredible year ahead, and I can’t wait to watch your journey to the Miss Tennessee stage!

Welcome to the Greene County family, Berkley! I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

And just like that, my year as Miss Greene County has come to an end.

One year ago, I stepped into this role not knowing just how much it would change me. I knew I had been given the opportunity to represent a community, advocate for something close to my heart, and compete at Miss Tennessee for the first time — but I could have never anticipated the people, memories, friendships, and experiences that would come along with it.

This year took me to the Miss Tennessee stage, where I was incredibly blessed to finish as Fourth Runner-Up and receive a Top Five Public Relations Award. Those are accomplishments I will always be proud of, but when I look back on this year, they aren’t what I will remember most.

I’ll remember the people who welcomed me, the children I had the opportunity to meet, the moments I was able to share my passion for mentorship, the friendships that became family, and all of the little moments in between that made this year so special.

To everyone who played a part in my year as Miss Greene County — whether you supported me, encouraged me, opened a door for me, invited me into your community, cheered me on, or simply followed along — thank you. There are far too many people who made an impact on this year to ever fit into one post, but please know how deeply grateful I am for every single one of you.

Greene County, thank you for trusting me to wear your name across my heart. Representing you has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will carry this year and this community with me wherever I go next.

Tonight may have been my final night as Miss Greene County, but thankfully, it isn’t the end of my journey. I’m closing this chapter with a very full heart, an even greater love for this organization, and so much excitement for what comes next.

Once Miss Greene County, always Miss Greene County. 🤍
