This week, we’ve been sharing famous 4-H alumni from across the country, but we have someone from right here in Union County to celebrate!

Union County 4-H’er Brayden Howell has already auditioned for The Voice and made it onto Team Riley! Brayden shared his singing talent at County and District Activity Day, and we’re so excited to see him performing on a national stage!

Congratulations, Brayden! Your Union County 4-H family is cheering you on! 💚

Very thankful to the Pitt County Commissioners for proclaiming National 4-H Week! It was an honor to hear Council President Jade Crutchfield bring greetings and lead the pledge, and to have our youth, parents, and volunteers present to celebrate together. 🍀💚

The Pitt County Board of Commissioners is proud to officially proclaim October 4-10, 2026, as National 4-H Week! 🍀

With over 6,000 participants and 50 dedicated volunteers right here in Pitt County, 4-H is empowering our youth through hands-on experiences in science, technology, healthy living, and citizenship. 🚀

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this incredible youth development program and recognize its unique partnership with our State University System. 🎓 In honor of their amazing impact on our future leaders, this proclamation was officially ADOPTED, the 5th day of October 2026. 📜
