"I have lived in 5 different states including Colorado, Utah, Missouri, Florida, and now North Carolina. I love exploring different places! My home might be in FL but ECU has become my home away from home. ECU Athletics and my team have become my family and are constant reminders that my decision to be a part of Pirate Nation was the right one!" - Danielle Eule, Soccer, SAAC Rep

"I feel very fortunate to be a Student-Athlete at East Carolina. My dad played football here and was a big factor in me ultimately deciding to make ECU my home for 4 years. He is also one of my biggest motivators and makes me want to be the best athlete, student and person I can be. My dad always tells me that you can do anything for just 5 minutes and, after that, just 5 minutes more. That's all the world is, a continuous cycle of just 5 minutes and you get to choose how you use it. My dad has encouraged me to make the most of each moment because it will be gone quicker than you think. I believe that ECU has given me the best opportunity to use my time to its fullest potential." -Samantha Teague, Women's Cross Country, SAAC Rep

"Coming to East Carolina has granted me the opportunity to create a legacy for my family. Growing up I would constantly promise to my mom that I would provide for our entire family and still to this day, I eagerly intend to do so. The privilege of representing the school allows me to become a leader in our community. I hope to encourage the youth through diligent work ethic in academics and athletics that conveys a positive image not only for ECU, but for my family." -Markus Mosley, Men's Track and Field, SAAC Rep

"It is my goal to promote inclusion in athletics for young women of all ethnicities and physical challenges. I hope to spread the word that every young girl has the purpose, potential and most of all the ability to be whatever it is they prosper to be, regardless of the adversity or obstacles they encounter in life." -Ali Ramirez, Softball, SAAC Rep

"My favorite thing in the world to do is watch people do what they do best. Nothing makes me happier than watching my teammates race, cheering on my best friend on the tennis court, or sitting among thousands during a big game. To me, being a pirate means supporting your fellow pirates in everything they do. ECU has given me a community of athletes that I am so proud to call my family." - Liz Browne, Women's Swimming and Diving, SAAC Rep
