The purpose of Outreach North America is to introduce people in the United States and Canada to Jesus Christ, primarily by helping our presbyteries plant new churches and renew existing churches.

Pray for Rev. Tripp Castell and Hickory Presbyterian Church as they prepare for worship tomorrow. Tripp began planting the church in January in his hometown where he and his wife Amy raised six children. Pray that the Lord would open doors for evangelism throughout Hickory and the surrounding towns, and that many would come to know Christ through the witness of the church.

Pray for Rev. Tim Sewell and Iglesia en Movimiento // Church on the Move FL as they prepare for worship tomorrow. Iglesia en Movimiento began in 2017 as a daughter church of Lake Placid ARPC. The church plant serves the growing Hispanic population in their community. Tim's desire is to plant a church with missional DNA – a church that goes on to plant more churches.

October prayer

Continue to pray for our church planters and their wives gathering Oct. 5-8. Pray that they would be refreshed, encouraged by one another's fellowship, and sent home renewed for the work. Also, pray for the speakers as they teach on prayer, leadership development and evangelism, and that what is taught would bear fruit in each young mission.

Continue to ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up planters for the mother-daughter opportunities in Black Mountain, NC, Bradenton, FL, Eldersburg, MD and Sherrills Ford, NC.

Pray for the ONA Board's work to identify a partner and a plan to help ARP churches that need to come alive again. Ask the Lord to give wisdom in choosing the right approach and direction to carry it out.

Pray for the fall stated meetings of our presbyteries, that Church Extension reports would stir vision and that presbyteries would take up the 10-Year Challenge of one new church per presbytery per year.

Pray for the ONA Board as it prepares for its fall meeting Nov. 17-18. Pray especially as it plans how to use the funds Synod directed to ONA for church planting and strengthening.

Pray for Rev. Brooks Pipher and Covenant Church - Burbank as they prepare for worship tomorrow. Covenant Church began as a Bible study in 2022. Morning and evening worship were launched in April, 2023. The name "Covenant" was chosen because life in Los Angeles is hard. It's very expensive. Jobs and friends go and leave as quickly as they arrive. So it's a real challenge. But a wonderful calling and a wonderful mission field. We love Jesus, Los Angeles and this church.

Many Hands, One Mission. This summer, the youth groups from First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof and First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales, Florida traveled to Cayce Pres in Cayce, SC, to help the church put on Vacation Bible School. What began as a week of service became a powerful reminder of the strength of connectional ministry and how churches can encourage one another in the work of the gospel. This new church will be a daughter church plant of City Church, whose vision is to see the gospel renew Asheville and beyond by raising up people who have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring his renewing power into every sphere of life.
