Clean water is a fundamental right that everyone deserves. $30 will provide a family of 4 a lifetime supply of clean drinking water. This translates into people not getting sick from drinking contaminated water. It also means that people can save money that was being spent on bottled water. Support our initiatives and help us bring safe drinking water to communities in need by visiting care4oneanother.com. There are also many ways that you can also participate.which can also be seen on our website including “Help along the way” as you travel and
“Championing” a community or area that you know is in need.

We set out today to reach where the eye of Melissa passed, Black River. Along the way, we stopped at streams and rivers where people were congregating to bath and wash clothes to deliver filters. People were grateful and used the clear, flowing water from mountains nearby to fill their containers.
In Belmont, World Central Kitchen was distributing meals which attracted a lot of people so we set up next to them and demonstrated and distributed the filter systems.
Our last stop was Black River. I don’t have the words to truly describe the devastation we saw or the emotions we felt. Samaritans Purse and World Central Kitchen were both there providing food and water. A field hospital was also erected to care for the injured as the local hospital was destroyed.

After a refreshing break from social media, I’m happy to share an update on our 2025 Care4oneAnother activity. Collaborating with our partners, Cornerstone Foundation, Ninos de Alotenango, and Water4life, we’ve successfully provided clean drinking water to 2,400 people in Belize and Guatemala.

However, 2025 has brought new challenges in delivering filters for countries outside the US. New tariffs and resulting import brokerage fees, along with rising transportation costs, have significantly impacted our expenses. Before 2025, we paid less than 5% of the filter value in fees. In contrast, in 2025, we’ve had to pay up to 50% of the filter cost.

Over the past three and a half years since Care4oneAnother’s inception, we’ve provided training, delivered, and installed filters to 23 communities across eight countries. This initiative has resulted in over 11,600 people gaining access to clean water.

Our top countries of support include:

Country People impacted Program
USA 3,300+ Helene Early responder
Guatemala 3,300+ Sustainable Water Programs
Belize 2,900+ Sustainable Water Programs
Brazil 1,000+ Champion’s Program
Other 1,000+ Help Along the Way

We extend our gratitude to all our supporters. Your financial, spiritual, hands-on participation, and kind feedback provide us with the positive energy and sustenance we need to continue our mission.

The Baden family makes an impact in Guatemala through our “Help along the way” program to provide a means of clean drinking water to families in need.

Mariana Baden and daughter, Mayra recently traveled to
IN THE GAP ministry located in La Comunidad, Guatemala. In preparation for the trip, Mariana’s husband, Klaus Baden reached out to learn more about the water filters we are using. After a short explanation / training session with Klaus, he decided take 10 filters for Mariana to “help families along the way” who are in need of clean drinking water while in La Comunidad.

The trip turned out to be a success. The filters were installed and the recipients received water health education as well as instruction on the use and maintenance of the filters. Elio Toledo, the director of IN THE GAP, provided us with feedback that “families are benefitting from the use of of the filters as they insure a healthier life and save money normally spent on buying purified water”.

On our upcoming trip to Guatemala, we will visit Elio to understand the potential to establish a new sustainable water partnership with IN THE GAP.

Thank you Mariana and Klaus Baden for your support and initiative.

If anyone else is interested in Helping Along the Way, please feel free to reach out to us through email: [email protected] or our website www.care4oneanother.com.

Reflecting on three years of Care4oneAnother's journey, our vision was to improve living and health conditions by addressing the lack of clean water infrastructure globally. Our focus initially centered on regions outside the US, where notably, the distribution of filters were predominately to women and children. This gave us confidence that we were operating where we needed to be; however, a shift occurred when Hurricane Helene struck. Teaming up with local organizations, the US Army and Navy, Waves for Water, and Sawyer, over 800 filters were distributed to people in Western North Carolina, reshaping our perception of those in need.

Our core belief remains unchanged: every town, village, and individual, regardless of location, deserves the right to clean drinking water. As we look ahead to 2025, we are committed to:
- Expanding global partnerships,
- Enhancing support in the US, and
- Creating more avenues for individuals to directly engage in providing clean water solutions.

Irene and I express profound gratitude to our generous donors, corporate sponsors, and local organizations whose support has empowered us to dramatically broaden our impact in 2024. Thank you all for your unwavering support. God Bless.

Dear friends,

As we reach the end of the year, Irene and I want to wish you all happy holidays and to express our thanks and appreciation for your support of our clean water foundation. Through your generousity in 2024, we were able to provide 5,300 people with access to clean drinking water, helping a total of more than 7,700 people since we started our foundation in December 2021. The number of unique, individual donors more than quadrupled in 2024 including two new corporate sponsors. We take this as positive feedback and will continue to provide transparency and updates as we move forward into 2025.

Highlights of 2024:
+ Filters and training provided to people in Belize, Guatemala, Brazil and Western North Carolina.

+ Two new programs added, the Champion’s Program and Help Along the Way, for people who wanted to be “hands on” and participate in delivering filters. If you would like to purchase filters to take with on your travels, please let know.

+ Early disaster response in Western North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, where collaboration with local organizations lead us to the hardest hit areas. Together with partner organization Waves For Water, more than 800 filters were delivered and installed in homes, schools and community centers.

We just recently received feedback about the filters that were delivered to Brazil in September. The last of the filters were installed over the last weeks in Vera Cruz and Venancio Aires by the people that were trained in September. The feedback from the recipients and the smile on the faces say it all.

Below are some stories from our Clean Water Champion in Brazil.

Just a few of the many pictures taken yesterday amongst the 15 homes where we managed to install filters before we had to head the 2 hours back down the beautiful mountainsides towards Sta Cruz! It was a VERY special & interesting day amongst all those hard-working farmers!! They were all SO thankful for the filters…many of them get their water from a well that often gets flooded with water from this GREEN pond👇🏼🥴🤢😲 and one lady even told us that sometimes she just prefers to go thirsty rather than to drink the yellow water that comes through their pipes! 😳

The man in the blue shirt is Luis Cesar, who was the “demonstrator” that day at the Rotary in Sta Cruz. He met me in Venâncio Aires yesterday morning & we went 2 hours uphill on curvy gravel roads to meet Flavio, a very lively young fellow who’s been struggling for several years to get potable water piped into the area where we installed the 15 filters yesterday. When Luis Cesar told him about the filters (last week), Flávio said “I’d meet you on my KNEES to get them!”

One happy lady. We met Rufina on Sunday and explained to her our mission in Belize. She asked for a
water filter for her Mom in a village 2 hours from here. When we showed up unexpectedly at her place of work, she said I was counting the days when you leave and how many days are left for you to come by. One happy Camper. You have not forgotten me. Also some pictures of Santa Familia village today.
