Oconee County Council is taking an important stand when it comes to Flock Safety cameras and the privacy of its citizens.

Technology like automated license plate reader cameras can be a valuable tool for law enforcement, but there must be meaningful safeguards on how that technology is used and how information on law-abiding citizens is collected and stored.

We can support public safety while also protecting individual liberty and our Fourth Amendment rights.

👏 Thank you to Oconee County Council for recognizing that government power needs boundaries. I hope more communities across South Carolina follow their lead.
