Listening, learning, and growing in confidence together.

MARC's English Conversation Practice Group gives adult learners a welcoming place to build speaking and listening skills while connecting with others in the community. Thanks to a recent National Book Fund grant through ProLiteracy, MARC has received new books and educational materials that will help support learners as they work toward their personal, educational, and career goals.

The recent “Party with MARC” was a joyful celebration of the heart of our work. Learners, learning coaches, volunteers, board members, family members, and supporters came together to celebrate the power of literacy and community. Guests enjoyed two inspiring learner presentations that highlighted the determination of the adult learners in our program.

The Montcalm Area Reading Council (MARC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing literacy and empowering our community through free, one-on-one tutoring for adults. MARC provides support for adult basic education and English as a Second Language (ESL) learners throughout Montcalm County.
