Thank you for voting in the primary election! It has made a difference in Greenville County.

17.4% of Greenville County voters showed up to vote in this year’s primary election.

That’s a 3 point increase (or 10,000 more voters) from voter turnout in the last primary election in 2022.

10.5% of voters turned out for the runoff, compared to just 7.85% in 2022.

📣June 25 is the runoff for the primary election! Many of us will need to go back out to the polls to determine the winner.

If you live in Taylors, TR, Berea, North Main, Botany Woods, Paris Mountain, Belle Meade, Pleasant Valley, or Southern Greenville County, that means you!

✅You are eligible to vote if you are registered, regardless of if you voted in the primary already or not.

✅You can only vote if there is a runoff race in your district.

✅ If you did already vote, you can only vote in the runoffs for the political party’s races that you initially voted in. (Ex: if you voted in the republican primary races, you can only vote in the republican runoff races).

Use Simple Civics: Greenville County's candidate lookup tool to review your runoff sample ballot and find information about the candidates.

Primary election day is tomorrow-- June 11!

If you didn't vote early, tomorrow is your chance to use your voice in a way that truly impacts our community.

"The winner of the primary will go to the November general election ballot, but this year, 17 of the 37 races in Greenville County will be contested only in the primary. This means June 11 may be the only chance for voters to decide who will be their sheriff and who represent county council, House and Senate seats."

Check out this news story from WWYFF News 4where Katy Pugh Smith Executive Director ofGreater Good Greenvilleshares information about why voting in the primary election is so important.
