“As the world commemorated the first anniversary of Hamas’ brutal October 7th massacre in Israel this week, CAM released a new survey analyzing the impact of rising antisemitism on American Jews. Results indicated that 3.5 million American Jews (61%) have experienced at least one form of antisemitism since the October 7th attack. Shockingly, 75% of American Jews don’t report incidents to external entities outside their family.

The impact of these experiences is profound, with 61% of American Jews reporting feeling less safe since October 7. 43% of respondents indicated that antisemitism will influence their voting choices, and over 1 in 4 college-related respondents has been discriminated against or made to feel uncomfortable by a faculty member, teaching assistant, or instructor because they are Jewish.
This week’s Global Antisemitism Report documented 324 incidents, more than double the highest number of incidents the ARC has ever recorded in a single week of monitoring going back 5 years.” - CAM

🕯️ October 7th Commemoration

Join us for the October 7 Commemoration on October 7, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in downtown Greenville. We’ll be showcasing the powerful Humans of October 7 exhibition, created by photojournalist Erez Kaganovitz, and hearing from community speakers.

About the Exhibition: In response to the brutal terrorist attack on Israel, Erez Kaganovitz’s work, Humans of October 7, brings to life the personal stories of those who stood resilient in the face of terror. The exhibition highlights the human side of Israel, emphasizing the courage and spirit of the Israeli people. It serves as a poignant reminder of what we are fighting for and counters the wave of antisemitism and misconceptions about Israel that have risen since the attack.
