“As the world commemorated the first anniversary of Hamas’ brutal October 7th massacre in Israel this week, CAM released a new survey analyzing the impact of rising antisemitism on American Jews. Results indicated that 3.5 million American Jews (61%) have experienced at least one form of antisemitism since the October 7th attack. Shockingly, 75% of American Jews don’t report incidents to external entities outside their family.

The impact of these experiences is profound, with 61% of American Jews reporting feeling less safe since October 7. 43% of respondents indicated that antisemitism will influence their voting choices, and over 1 in 4 college-related respondents has been discriminated against or made to feel uncomfortable by a faculty member, teaching assistant, or instructor because they are Jewish.
This week’s Global Antisemitism Report documented 324 incidents, more than double the highest number of incidents the ARC has ever recorded in a single week of monitoring going back 5 years.” - CAM

🕯️ October 7th Commemoration

Join us for the October 7 Commemoration on October 7, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in downtown Greenville. We’ll be showcasing the powerful Humans of October 7 exhibition, created by photojournalist Erez Kaganovitz, and hearing from community speakers.

About the Exhibition: In response to the brutal terrorist attack on Israel, Erez Kaganovitz’s work, Humans of October 7, brings to life the personal stories of those who stood resilient in the face of terror. The exhibition highlights the human side of Israel, emphasizing the courage and spirit of the Israeli people. It serves as a poignant reminder of what we are fighting for and counters the wave of antisemitism and misconceptions about Israel that have risen since the attack.

What an incredible day in Washington, D.C., at the African Jewish Alliance!

The mission of this coalition, which includes Jewish and African groups and individuals—both Christian and Muslim—centers on uniting those who have suffered from Islamic Extremism.

We heard powerful testimony from Simon Deng, a Shilluk Christian from South Sudan and a former slave who was taken and sold by an Arab neighbor. He experienced jihad firsthand and witnessed horrific atrocities, including murders and rapes. Simon stands with Israel and visited after October 7th, he states, "Hamas is made up of the same people, acting on the same colonizing and imperial motivations that enslaved me and murdered 3.5 million of my black brothers and sisters... Both Africans and Israelis stand tall and will not rest until all of our people are free."

As we connect with more people, we plan to share stories and updates from this inspiring gathering of passionate individuals who are motivated to build a coalition for change and confront Islamic Extremism openly.

In case you missed it, our partners at the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) debuted their newest commercial, “Don't Bring Hate to the Protest”, during last night’s Celtics vs. Cavaliers NBA playoff game on TNT. You can catch the ad again during tonight's Knicks vs. Pacers game on TNT.

The commercial’s core message is that while political issues should be debated, hate speech and intimidation simply can’t be tolerated. In the face of the hatred and violence that have taken over college campuses across the country, this campaign reminds us all to Stand Up to Jewish Hate and All Hate.

In response to the hate-fueled by protests happening on college and university campuses across the U.S, our partner, the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), has launched their latest advertising campaign, beginning with a letter from FCAS Founder Robert Kraft as a full-page advertisement in several of the major newspapers across the United States.

Tune in to tonight’s NBA playoff game at 7:00 PM on TNT to see the newest commercial which reminds us that while political issues should be debated, hate speech and intimidation are simply unacceptable.
