🌟 Ministry Highlight: Supporting Teachers 🌟

This week, we are highlighting the incredible teachers in our communities! At Legacy, we truly believe in supporting teachers and local schools in every way possible. Education plays such an important role in shaping the next generation, and we are thankful for the opportunity to come alongside those who dedicate their lives to teaching and investing in children every day.

Many of our missionaries are teachers themselves or work alongside local educators, and it has been a blessing to watch those relationships grow. Over the past several years, we have been able to encourage and support teachers through educational seminars, professional development opportunities, teacher appreciation events, and partnerships with local schools. We believe teachers deserve to be encouraged, equipped, and celebrated. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom, influencing families, communities, and future generations.

One of our greatest prayers is that these relationships open doors to share the love and hope of Christ. Through supporting teachers, we have the opportunity to build meaningful connections, encourage them in their daily lives, and share the Gospel with them and their families. We are thankful for the ways God continues to use this ministry to impact not only classrooms but entire communities.

Please join us in praying for the teachers in our communities as they pour into the lives of their students each day. Pray that they would be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that they are deeply valued. And pray that God would continue to use these relationships to draw teachers and families closer to Him.

Ministry Moment Monday

This week, we are excited to highlight the girls’ dance group at Legacy.

This group is about so much more than learning choreography. Under the expertise and leadership of Terri Bruno, these girls are growing in confidence, discipline, teamwork, creativity, perseverance, and poise.

Dance gives young girls a meaningful place to learn, express themselves, build friendships, and discover strengths they may not have known they had. Through practice and performance, they are learning how to work hard, receive correction, encourage one another, and grow in both skill and character.

The girls also have opportunities to attend other shows on the island, participate in Bible studies, and be part of other activities that help them continue growing spiritually, socially, and personally. Some of the older girls are even hoping to use what they are learning to teach and encourage younger girls in the community.

Join us in praying for this ministry, for the leaders, and for each girl as she continues to learn, grow, and use her gifts for God’s glory.

🌟Ministry Highlight 🌟

This week we are highlighting our Ministry Training Program led by our missionary, Juan Carlos Caceres.

Juan started this program after seeing so many people who had a passion for serving God and reaching their communities, but didn’t feel equipped or know where to begin. His heart has always been to teach and encourage believers to confidently step into the calling God has placed on their lives. He believes ministry starts right where you are; in your church, your neighborhood, and your community. Through this program, Juan’s goal is to equip, empower, and teach the Word of God to future leaders within the local church. He desires to see students not only grow in biblical knowledge, but also deepen their relationship with Christ and develop a true heart for serving others. Over the course of this two-year program, students study a variety of materials and take a deep dive through each book of the Bible. Along the way, they are encouraged to actively serve, lead, disciple others, and live out the Gospel in practical ways.

We are excited that our current students will be graduating this August! It has been such a blessing watching each student learn, grow, and strengthen their faith over these past two years. We have loved seeing their confidence grow and watching God work in their lives. We are so excited to see what the Lord has ahead for each of them in this next season.

Earlier this week, Legacy Mission International had the privilege of participating in an Operation Christmas Child shoebox distribution in Oak Ridge.

We are thankful for the opportunity to serve through this outreach and to share not only gifts, but also the hope of the gospel. Operation Christmas Child is about more than a one-day event. Through each shoebox, doors are opened for children to hear about Jesus, experience God’s love, and be invited into continued discipleship.

In the coming weeks, the children will have the opportunity to take part in a 12-lesson discipleship program where they will continue learning about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him.

Thank you to every person, church, and family who packs, prays, gives, and serves through Operation Christmas Child. Your faithfulness helps create opportunities for lasting gospel impact.

Ministry Highlight Monday 🤍

This week, we are honored to highlight New Life Clinic and the meaningful work happening through this ministry each week.

New Life Clinic exists to serve our community with compassionate, Christ-centered care. Through medical consultations, health education, outreach, and follow-up support, the clinic is able to meet practical needs while also sharing the love and hope of Jesus with individuals and families in our community. Our daily team includes a local doctor and nurses, along with missionaries and volunteers who serve with us at various times throughout the year.

Whether through a routine visit, a home visit, a community health outreach, or a conversation filled with encouragement, each opportunity allows our team to build relationships and care for the whole person. We are so thankful for our clinic staff and volunteers who faithfully serve with compassion and excellence. Their work makes a lasting impact in the lives of many here in Roatán.

Join us in praying for New Life Clinic, for the patients and families being served, and for the team as they continue to provide care, encouragement, and hope in the name of Jesus. Thank you for being part of what God is doing in Roatán, Honduras!
