💚🚨 Celebrating Our CERT Volunteers 🚨💚

Last week was National CERT Week (Sept 14–20), and we wrapped it up with a special appreciation dinner on Saturday night to honor the incredible work of our Greenville County CERT members.

In the past year, this team has:
✅ Welcomed 35 new trained members
✅ Supported 2 major activations during Hurricane Helene and the Table Rock wildfire, staffing the community information line to help citizens with shelter, resource, safety questions, evacuation information and more
✅ Completed Red Cross shelter training
✅ Played a huge role in Get Ready Greenville – running their booth, assisting in various roles to help make the event a success

We are so proud of everything this team has accomplished, and we are grateful for their dedication to keeping Greenville County prepared and resilient. 💪💚

Thank you, CERT volunteers, for showing up for our community again and again.

On Tuesday night, we recognized our CERT volunteers who answered nearly 400 phone calls from September 29th to October 9th from citizens in our call center in aftermath of Hurricane Helene. They helped provide information, alerted us to critical issues in the county, and were a calming voice in a time of crisis. We cannot thank them enough for volunteering their time to help our fellow neighbors!
