Excuse me… just got something in my eye 🥹 this is the best thank you note ever ♥️♥️ The best part about this business is getting to be a part of people’s lives. Creating a space for people to be together, to share a meal, a coffee, and maybe even fall in love 🥰 It’s why we love what we do. What an honor and a privilege♥️ Congratulations to the happy couple!🥂

Big News! The facility that houses our project has changed its name to the Office of State Archaeology Conservation Lab (OSA Lab)! This new name better reflects the variety of work the lab undertakes on behalf of archaeological collections across North Carolina. Many of our visitors think staff only work on the shipwreck of La Concorde/Queen Anne’s Revenge and are excited during lab visits to learn just how many other historical sites and archaeological projects are supported.

Don’t worry! This page will continue to be dedicated to updates from the La Concorde/Queen Anne’s Revenge Shipwreck Project and announcements about events! For other news from the lab, be sure to follow North Carolina Office of State Archaeology!

“A large portion of our work will always be La Concorde/Queen Anne’s Revenge, but we are proud to expand our conservation, analytical, and consultation services to other organizations in need of the special care we can provide,” said Head Conservator Kimberly Kenyon. “The lab has built partnerships across the state to support exhibits and to serve our fellow agencies and their visitors by preserving a wider range of North Carolina’s irreplaceable cultural heritage.”

CURLY AND THE BROKEN DOOR

We’d like to talk to this guy about his Halloween night workout routine — specifically, the part where he used the door at Still Life as a leg press, and subsequently shattering it.

If you recognize him (or his curls), please contact Officer Venable at [email protected].

Let’s help him kick off a better decision-making streak. 👟🚪
