Did you know? GCAC is the largest open admission shelter in South Carolina and the only open admission shelter in Greenville. Open admission shelters take every dog/cat that comes to their door regardless of age, health, breed, temperament, or background. Challenges come when the shelter is full. Let's chip our pets so they can find their way home!

Also support fostering and adoptions to free space for more intakes. GCAC had 125 dog and 141 cat adoptions in July!

It's Giving Tuesday, and today, we're proud to share a major milestone we've been working on behind the scenes all year: the launch of the new Greenville County Animal Care Safe Start Program!

Safe Start is a compassionate new initiative designed to help families in crisis keep their pets with them by providing short-term boarding, expanding the No Empty Bowls pet food pantry, and offering essential medical care.

This program was made possible thanks to a generous private donor who wanted to make a real difference for pets and their people. All funding flows through Partners in Animal Care, and we've been honored to help bring this vision to life alongside the donor and the shelter.

Your Giving Tuesday donation helps make that possible 💕
