Greenville's Gift is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to clothing newborns in need in the Greenville, South Carolina, community. While many babies are born to families who have the means to provide for them in terms of clothing and blankets, many families are unable to afford these necessary items. Greenville's Gift works to bridge this gap and to meet their needs. Our objective
is to collect gently used and new infant clothing and blankets from the Greenville Community and then gift these items to moms in financial need. Greenville's Gift will rely on community agencies and local hospitals to identify moms in financial need who will receive a Greenville's Gift gift bag. Staff at local clinics and hospitals will present the gift bags to moms at the end of their pregnancy or during their stay in the hospital. Our hope is to make new moms and babies feel celebrated and loved by the Greenville community by presenting beautifully wrapped gift bags filled with newborn essentials. WHO WE HELP
Over 6,000 babies are born in the Greenville community each year, and 40% of them are born in need. We divide donations into individual gift bags based on gender and season. We hope to provide clothing essentials for each newborn for their first year of life, along with blankets, hats, socks, bibs and burp cloths. HOW TO HELP
It's simple! Gather gently used (clean, no visible stains) or new:

• Baby blankets
• Socks and Hats
• Bibs and Burp Cloths
Then you can either...
• Drop them off
• Arrange for us to pick them up

Please include your name and e-mail address so that we can thank you and let you know we received your donation. Afterwards, we will get your donations wrapped and into the hands of new moms as soon as possible! If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, please contact us and we will mail one to you. Monetary donations are welcome! Please make checks payable to Greenville's Gift. 80% of the dollars donated to Greenville's Gift will go to the purchase of clothing or materials (gift bags, tags, tissue and ribbon) used for Greenville’s Gift. There are no salaries and very limited overhead costs associated with Greenville’s Gift. We will send a BIG thank you and receipt for your tax purposes (please include contact information.). There are also many volunteer opportunities - host a clothing drive at your church or school, help sort donating clothing and essentials, host a gift bag making party with friends. Do you accept girls' and boys' clothing? Yes, we accept both girls' and boys' clothing in sizes newborn to 12 months, and we accept clothing for all seasons of the year. What is included in each gift bag?

How can I get involved? Tell your friends, your church, your school! You can also help by organizing or hosting a clothing drive and by sorting and bundling baby clothes. We'd love to involve families, churches and schools. Contact us for more info. What do you mean it's a gift? We wrap clothing and blankets in tissue paper and place them in gift bags with the "Greenville's Gift" logo on the outside. We want it to feel like a gift, not a handout. When you send us clothing or blankets, the items are going straight to moms in need. Save your keepsakes, but pass along what you don't use anymore. Why donate to Greenville's Gift rather than other organizations? While there are many excellent organizations in Greenville, we are specifically targeting newborns whose families do not have the means to pay for additional clothing for their babies. We are giving these items to them - no charge, no forms, no questions - just an overflowing gift bag and well wishes!
