Bring Bike-Sharing to Greenville

Bring Bike-Sharing to Greenville Leadership Greenville 37 Class Project These factors have helped make our city an attractive place to do business, raise a family and enjoy the outdoors.

With its natural beauty, outstanding quality of life and a thriving tourism industry, the City of Greenville serves as a model of success in the “New South”. With the completion of the GHS Swamp Rabbit trail and our continued hosting of the USPRO Cycling Championships, Greenville has been designated a bike-friendly community by the League of American Bicyclists. With the help of our strong cycling

community, local leaders are currently working on a Bicycle Master Plan, which aims to make Greenville one of the premier bike-friendly communities in the nation. The time is right to take these initiatives one step further. Through a program that employs public bicycles, Bike-share can promote transportation alternatives, as well as health and wellness throughout the community. How Bike-share Works

Greenville Bike-share will utilize strategically-distributed Cycle stations hosting five or more bikes, and will feature a centralized payment station and a control kiosk. Customers may unlock a bicycle with a credit card or smart card and ride to any other station, where they can deposit the bicycle. This new program presents an opportunity to dramatically impact the community and reshape the identity of our town.
