Pirates for Israel is an independent organization at East Carolina University dedicated to providing students with a way to advocate for Israel. Israel has become a heated topic in the news and on college campuses worldwide and today, the dedicated students of Pirates for Israel are here to stand up for Israel and show the community how they can stand with Israel too. rs of the Israeli company TEVA to the drastic Humanitarian efforts of IsraAID in more than 35 countries worldwide, Pirates for Israel will show the community who these people are, what they do, and how their work affects us and the world on a daily basis. There is always a political conversation about the tiny nation and many times, she is on the negative side. PFI is here to facilitate conversations and show the facts to give a different perspective to each difficult conversation. The organization was formerly a chapter of Students Supporting Israel until 2016 when a major shift was made and the chapter became its own independent entity. Through meaningful dialogue, thought-provoking programs, and engaging speakers, students will feel comfortable and welcome to learn about and ask questions about the State of Israel. Our mission is to provide this outlet for students learn about Israel, develop their own views, and to give them an opportunity to speak up and advocate for Israel.
