We just opened up our September 26th professional development training to include more people - this is one you won't want to miss!

In this training, you will learn best practices for fostering parent/family engagement, tips for effective communication with parents/families, and how to develop a plan that involves parents and family members in their child’s education.

Presented by Angel Williams, Public Education Partners and Amy Keely, Communities In Schools of Greenville with help from Linda Tassie, YouthBASE.

Time will be 9:00 am - 12:00 pm here at United Way of Greenville County.

Happy Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week!

We appreciate all afterschool professionals but want to highlight a few on our page this week for their dedication to youth.

The afterschool professional nominated for today is Corey McDowell, the Operations Director at the Judson Community Center YMCA:

"This man works tirelessly every day for the betterment of the children in his program and for his staff - his mission is to show his community that the sky is the limit, and he offers support in numerous ways to help others achieve their dreams. He has been a tremendous support and friend for his staff and coworkers, an advocate for children, and a wealth of knowledge that supports his community.
