🐱💓🐶 TEAMWORK TUESDAYS 🐶💓🐱

❤️🐾 Hi… I’m Prince. Although apparently my full government name is “Princetopher.” 🐾❤️

I’m not really sure why the volunteers started calling me that, but honestly… it feels right.

I’m about 3 years old, 48 pounds, heartworm negative, and fully convinced I should be included in absolutely everything you’re doing.

Going for a walk? I’m in.
Car ride? Already in the passenger seat.
Sitting outside doing nothing? Sounds incredible.

This boy wants a human best friend SO badly.

I come out of my kennel excited to see people because I genuinely just love being around them. But once I’m out, I settle down quickly and walk beautifully on leash like the gentleman I am. I already know “sit” and “shake,” take treats gently, and try really hard to make people happy.

And once I’ve gotten my excitement out?
Total cuddle bug.

The volunteers describe me as joyful, affectionate, patient, goofy, and just a really, really good boy. The kind of dog that makes every outing better because he’s so happy to be there with you.

Honestly, Prince feels like the kind of dog that should already be somebody’s sidekick by now. 💛

We are off to volunteer at Pet Food Pantry of Eastern NC today!

Just got word our afternoon transport for this Wednesday for five kitties is in need of a new driver! This would be pick up at Safe Haven in Raleigh at 3:30pm and bring them to Pet Food Pantry to meet their fosters.

If anyone can help us out please let us know! Thank you!!

✨️ Forever Home Fridays ✨️

Hendrix QUICKLY made himself at home at his fosters and never left! Now he has two doggy siblings and the best family around! When he was found in the middle of the road disoriented and clearly hurting we were not sure he would make it. We will never know if he was attacked, hit by a car or even thrown from a car but all that matters now is the amazing SPOILED life he gets to live for the rest of his days left! 🥰

We watched Nimyria grow from a shy kitten to a rambunctious girl but seeing her glow up in her forever home is just.... chefs kiss 💓

This girl is living the life with her new dog sibling and even goes on walks with them! How freaking CUTE is that?! 😍

Let's think about this for a moment. If just a VERY small percentage of homes opened up to foster even temporarily we could END preventable euthanasia at shelters.

How absolutely insane is that?! Ending ALL preventable euthanasia..... the precious lives that deserve a chance yet arent given it due to space issues we are all facing.

This week (so far) we have been asked to help over 200 cats/kittens. And we are only 1 rescue. All of our friends in rescue are getting the same messages and plea's for help.

✨️BUT THAT CAN ALL BE CHANGED✨️

By becoming a foster and opening up your home and heart you can save a life. 😍

You provide:

🐈‍⬛️ A loving and nurturing environment
🐈‍⬛️ A small place in your home (a spare room or bathroom, any area in your home that can fit a kennel)
🐈‍⬛️ All the LOVE ❤️
🐈‍⬛️ Transporting to vet visits (we can help if needed)

🐈 All vetting is covered by us

When one rescue is hurt all of us feel it. Our hearts are so incredibly broken for another local cat rescue that focuses on Trap Neuter Release in Wilson, NC. Purrfect Hearts Cat Rescue had a devastating loss due to a house fire last night.

Compassion is the heart of the rescue community. In moments like these, we need to come together to care for a fellow rescuer who has always been there to lend a hand to others. Being in animal rescue is so incredibly hard but a loss like this is just unimaginable. 😢
