A safe home changes everything.

Today marks a significant milestone with the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act becoming law—a reminder that meaningful progress is still possible when people come together around a shared purpose.

This bipartisan effort won’t solve every housing challenge overnight, but it creates new opportunities to preserve affordable housing, strengthen communities, and help more families remain safely in the homes they love.

At Rebuilding Together Pitt County, that’s work we believe in every single day. Here’s to building on this momentum—one home, one family, and one neighborhood at a time. 🏡💚

Today, as we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history, we’re reminded that the strength of America has always been found in its people—in neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live safely and with dignity.

At Rebuilding Together Pitt County, we’re grateful for the volunteers, donors, partners, and homeowners who make that vision a reality every day. Every repaired roof, accessible ramp, and safer home is a reminder that caring for one another is one of the most enduring expressions of community.

As we celebrate , we honor the spirit of service, generosity, and collaboration that continues to strengthen our neighborhoods and build a brighter future for everyone.

From all of us at Rebuilding Together Pitt County, we wish you a safe, joyful, and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

One of the best parts of this work is the relationships we build along the way. We’re grateful for partners like Sid Bradsher & the Heart for ENC team, who help the helpers through training, collaboration, resources, and a genuine commitment to strengthening our nonprofit community.

When nonprofits work together, everyone benefits—especially the neighbors we serve. Thank you for being such a valued partner. 💚🏠

Before → After. 4️⃣hours. 1️⃣5️⃣ volunteers. 1️⃣bush hog. A bit of sweat equity. Pure community magic. ✨

One project is DONE — and the difference is UNREAL. A donated bush hog plus volunteers with every tool imaginable tackled what needed to be tackled, fueled by , water, popsicles, and good energy.

The Alex Joyner - Mayor of Farmville showed up. Coastal Plains Association of Realtors, Inc. showed up. RTPC leaders showed up. Neighbors showed up. There was sweat. There were sore muscles. And there was singing and dancing along the way. 🎶

This is what community looks like. And we are so, so grateful. 💚

Something has been building here quietly — and it's time to say it out loud.

Rebuilding Together Pitt County is still here. We never stopped. But we are showing up differently now.

New leadership. New systems. New partnerships. And the same mission we've carried for nearly 20 years: making sure the people who call Eastern NC home have a safe, dignified place to live in it.

We still repair roofs, fix plumbing, modify homes for accessibility, and do the work that keeps families housed — at no cost to the homeowners we serve. Not low cost. No cost.

We're rebuilding more than homes. We're rebuilding this page too.
Stay with us. There's a lot more to come.

🏠 Repairing homes. Revitalizing communities. Rebuilding lives.
