Safe Harbor is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers a continuum of services for survivors of domestic violence and their children in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens and Oconee Counties. Our services include a 24/7 help line, safe emergency shelters, counseling for survivors and their children, advocacy, legal assistance, transitional housing, domestic violence education and parenting classes, and group support. We have approximately 45 full-time staff, 20 part-time staff and over 300 volunteers, including our board of directors. Together, we make a difference for victims of domestic violence and their children by providing them with safety and resources, helping them to heal, and giving them the support they need to start new lives.

October is a time to raise awareness about domestic violence, stand alongside survivors, and remind our community that no one should have to face abuse alone. At Safe Harbor, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe and valued in their relationships.

Domestic violence can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or circumstance. Awareness starts with being willing to learn, listen without judgment, and believe survivors. It also means challenging the attitudes and behaviors that allow abuse to remain hidden.

This month, we invite our community to speak up, show support, and help create a culture where everyone deserves safety, respect, and healthy relationships. Together, we can bring domestic violence out of the shadows and remind survivors that they are not alone.
