AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Sterling Torch after school program runs Monday through Friday from 2:45 to 6:00 p.m. and serves youth in grades K4-8. The program provides a safe haven and opportunities to the youth in the Sterling community and surrounding neighborhoods. Each child gets homework assistance, a healthy snack, and participates in a rotating schedule of activities that includes da
nce, performing arts, arts and crafts, and sports. Programs run throughout the school
SUMMER DAY CAMP
Our philosophy for summer day camp is to help children grow physically, mentally, and spiritually and to incorporate the YMCA four core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility into all aspects of our learn valuable life lessons, and make friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Day Camp Time-7:30am-6pm
Activities are geared to the age and development level of each child and may include Basketball, whiffle ball, soccer, field hockey, and flag football, active games, quiet games, swimming and swim lessons, crafts, music, art, nature activities, cooking, community service projects, special events, field trips, and more. The Teen Huddle
Having the right guidance and support can make a real difference when a teen is figuring out who he or she is are and what they can achieve. Whether our youth come to The Huddle looking to explore their interests or for support in navigating challenges, The Huddle is committed to nurturing teens and providing the roots for their success. Programs at The Huddle make sure that every child has an opportunity to envision and pursue a positive future, and to take an active role in strengthening our community. Teen Camp
The Sterling Torch program offers a teen camp experience in a safe atmosphere with highly trained, fun and energetic staff. Teen Camp is filled with fun and exciting trips so teens won't feel like they are in a day camp but like they are hanging out with friends. Teen camp activities include interactive field trips, swimming, educational activities, team-building activities, guest speakers, learning new skills, decision-making, service projects, sports, character building, and more.
