Greenville Woodworkers Guild The Greenville Woodworkers Guild (Greenville, S.C.) is North America’s largest nonprofit, all volunteer woodworking education center. In June of 1981, Arthur M.

We are North America’s largest, all volunteer woodworking education center with more than 25,000 sq feet of operational capacity, more than 850+ members who log thousands of hours working on personal projects as well as - philanthropic woodworking projects for local charities such as the Meyer Center for Children, Julie Valentine Center, SC Children's Theater and our annual Wood Toy Program which serves two dozen children's charities throughout the Upstate including the GHS Children's Hospital. Welling, W. Clayton Jackson, Robert A. Harvey, Michael P. McDunn, and J.C. Thompson signed the original Partnership Agreement to establish the Greenville Woodworkers Guild. These founding fathers had a vision to serve the community by developing an association to promote the art of woodworking, to provide woodworking education, and to perform charitable activities. We moved into our current facility in 2010 and celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2021!

It’s Monday at the Woodworker’s Guild and volunteers are hard at work painting backdrops for the upcoming Meyer Center Polo Classic. The lumber team is busy unloading a delivery, inventorying all the wood, and putting it away in the lumber room for members to purchase. The Tool Sale pickup team has been preparing for the Guild’s semi-annual Tool Sale on October 17th from 8:00-11:00. We have some fabulous items available. Please join us and thank you volunteers!

It’s Monday at the Metropolitan Arts Council and preparations are underway for the Greenville Woodworker’s Guild’s exhibit beginning this Thursday evening. The exhibit will run through October 16th. More items will be delivered soon. Some items are intended to display the artistry of a Guild member only but many items will be for sale. We hope to see you there! Stay tuned for updates!

It’s Thursday at the Woodworker’s Guild and a team is making quilt racks for the upcoming Jasmine Road luncheon and auction. Two veterans are leading a team interested in learning to make a quilt rack. A separate team is moving items to the Metropolitan Arts Council in preparation for the Guild’s exhibition beginning next Thursday, September 17th and running through October 16. Stay tuned for updates on items that will be on display. Thank you volunteers!

It’s Wednesday at the Woodworker’s Guild and the team that has been building a table for OLLI - Furman is ready to deliver it! A separate team is nearing completion on a table they’re making for the upcoming Jasmine Road luncheon and auction. Many of the items being donated are on display now at Jasmine Kitchen. Thank you volunteers!
