We are heading out this morning for our Pre Con with the hotel as we prepare for the opening day of our South Carolina Fall Advocacy and Medical Symposium (FAMS) tomorrow night.

Our largest advocacy gathering of the year, with 165 members, industry, and advocates coming from every region of the state and nation to learn, connect, provide support and treatment options, and advance treatment care innovation and research, diving deep into barriers, preparing for 2027 and the legislative session, raising awareness of our community and the challenges that we face with increasing healthcare costs, denials, step therapy and accumulators- Maximizer polices and the many other unfair practices in the insurance industry today, hurting access to care and treatment for those living with rare diseases.

We are grateful to our speakers, our sponsors, our volunteers, staff, board of directors, and community for stepping up and standing together for South Carolina.

We will work hard, learn much, but also celebrate all we have accomplished as a community and have some good fun!

While the weather is not on our side this weekend, it won’t slow us down.

Travel safe to all attendees and see you tomorrow, late afternoon!

Opening remarks begin at 6pm with exhibits beginning at 4pm.
