Sans Souci Community Garden

Sans Souci Community Garden Planting Seeds, Growing a Healthier Community We have a Spring and Fall growing season that is open to anyone who lives or works in Sans Souci.

In early 2011, a handful of Sans Souci residents got together to discuss starting a grassroots organic community gardening effort in the neighborhood. Thanks to St Mark Methodist Church, we were able to procure a lease on the first (hopefully of many) lands for use as a garden. What started out as a concept has now blossomed into 19 raised beds, a fruit tree espalier, and a community gathering spot. A small seasonal membership fee includes all the food you can harvest. If you love kale and tomatoes, this is the place for you! The Sans Souci Community Garden has also developed into an established, well respected concert venue. Hosting 6+ concerts a season (April-October) the garden has hosted acts from as far away as California and New York as well as showcased the multitude of talented musicians we have right here in the Upstate of South Carolina. We also host movie nights, holiday gatherings, cook-outs, and many other social events throughout the year. If you are interested in what we’re doing "like" our page. If you have any suggestions or are interested in helping out in any way please let us know.

🌻 Join us TOMORROW for a night of music and community in the garden with The Pinkerton Raid + Devon "Bad Bart" Hunt sponsored by GIVEGVLHomes 🌿🏡

$10 suggested donation. Bring a blanket and have a picnic with delicious food from The Electric Food Truck 🍅

The Pinkerton Raid’s Jesse James DeConto crafts “a fine blend of Beatles-esque dreamy folk,” says AMERICANA HIGHWAYS. He’s an ’80s kid, raised on STAR WARS, Tolkien and Laurel Canyon. He’s played AVLFest and Mile of Music with River Whyless and Carsie Blanton. He writes protest songs with Big Dad Energy, and there is a fair number of songs about trees.

Bad Bart is a local Spartanburg blues player. Growing up in Greenville and the upstate he knows the rich musical history and strong community that makes living here awesome! Join us in the Garden and take a journey between the strings!

Things to Know:
-all are welcome
-this is a family friendly event
-bring a seat (chair or blanket)
