ECU Health Foundation The ECU Health Foundation is committed to boosting philanthropic support for ECU Health and ECU’s health sciences.

The ECU Health Foundation is the powerful combination of your generosity and our dedication. As an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt, charitable corporation, we serve as custodian for all financial gifts, managing fundraising efforts for ECU Health, the colleges and schools of the health sciences at East Carolina University and the Laupus Library. The goal of each and every donation to the Foundation is to improve the quality of healthcare for eastern North Carolina and educate the next generation of health care providers. Through philanthropy, the ECU Health Foundation is committed to providing tangible impact for patients, families and students. Over the past four decades, more than $335 million has been raised by the Foundation to improve the overall health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. All funds raised have been used to support building projects, scholarships, and faculty support along with creating programs and services that are improving access for the 1.5 million patients served by ECU Health.

16 veterans received oral healthcare at the ECU School of Dental Medicine Spruce Pine Community Service Learning Center.

Thanks to donor support through the Smiles for Veterans program, more than $5,200 worth of care was provided at no cost to the patients during the event. A special thank you to Robert Bailey for providing each veteran with a commemorative flag creation for their service.
