Moosehead Junction Trails

Moosehead Junction Trails We have also been recently voted in as the twenty-ninth chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association.

Moosehead Outdoor Alliance is a non-profit 501c3 with the following mission: To design, create and care for world-class mountain biking trail systems in the Moosehead Lake area for the enrichment, economic stimulus and education of our community. History and Goals:
We have been working with accomplished trail designers and the State of Maine Bureau of Parks and Land over the past three years to id

entify the best local terrain for a world class mountain biking trail system in the Moosehead Lake Area. An official agreement between Moosehead Outdoor Alliance and State of Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands for long term care and maintenance will be solidified before proposed trail construction would begin. Once completed, these trails will be one of the most diversified systems in New England, reaching a minimum of 25 miles of trail, to attract outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and ability levels to the area. This association brings with it a large volunteer base for trail maintenance once the system is put into place as well as a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy for the non-profit. With the completion of this trail system the Moosehead area is projected to draw around 60,000 new visitors per year, reaching this target within 3-5 years, with the economic impact estimated at $10 Million tourism dollars per year.

Wow. What a night.
Last night’s Dine & Bid raised over $20,000 for trail building and maintenance at Moosehead Junction Trails.
We can’t thank everyone enough.
To the businesses and individuals who donated auction items, the volunteers who gave their time, everyone who came out to bid, set up, break down, help and support this project — thank you.
These trails are happening because this community keeps showing up. Every donation, every hour volunteered, every bid, and every person who believes in this project makes a difference.
We’re lucky to live in a place where people care this much.
Thank you for helping make Moosehead Junction Trails a reality.

🌲 TRAIL UPDATE: Moosehead Junction Trails Are OPEN! 🌲

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Dust off your gear, lace up your boots, and pump up those tires—the Moosehead Outdoor Alliance is thrilled to announce that the Moosehead Junction Trails are officially open for the season! 🎉

Our incredible trail crew and volunteers have been working hard to clear winter debris, fix washouts, and get the network dialed in and ready for rubber.

Before you head out to drop in, here’s a quick heads-up for early-season riding and hiking:

Check the Conditions: It’s still spring, so expect a few muddy spots. If you encounter a soft patch, please walk or ride through it, not around it, to help us prevent erosion and keep our singletrack single.

Expect the Unexpected: Keep an eye out for any remaining organic debris, loose dirt, or early-season trail hazards.

Support the Dirt: Love what we do? Consider renewing your membership or donating to help us keep our entire trail system looking pristine all summer long!

Get out there, stay safe, and enjoy the dirt! Tag us in your weekend ride photos so we can share the stoke. 🏔️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️
