We are proud to recognize Prisma Health EMS EMT Amanda Duvall, who was honored last week with the JP Strong Award.

The Front of the Line for Heroes Foundation, founded by Laura Granger in 2021 on the one-year anniversary of the passing of her son, John Paul Granger (EMT, LODD May 26, 2020), continues his legacy of compassion, service, and dedication to others. Through this foundation, JP’s spirit lives on by recognizing those who embody the very best of the EMS profession.

Each year at the annual EMS golf event, the JP Strong Award is presented to an EMS professional who exemplifies exceptional professionalism, compassion, leadership, and mentorship.

Amanda’s journey in EMS, along with her unwavering passion for helping others, reflects everything this award stands for. Her commitment to patient care, her support of her peers, and her leadership in the field make her an outstanding and deserving recipient.

Congratulations, Amanda, and thank you for representing the very best of Prisma Health EMS.

This EMS Week, we proudly recognize the heroes who answer the call day and night with courage, compassion, and selfless service. To every EMT, Paramedic, Dispatcher, Firefighter, and First Responder — thank you for the lives you touch and the sacrifices you make for our communities every single day.

This week also carries special meaning as we remember and celebrate the legacy of John Paul Alonzo Granger, EMT. His passion for EMS, dedication to serving others, and love for the first responder community continue to inspire so many. His impact lives on through the lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the mission we continue to carry forward in his honor. 💕💕💕
