Vets Serving Veterans, a newly formed veteran 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Mauldin, SC, is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead our mission of supporting and empowering veterans. We are dedicated to providing vital resources, advocacy, and assistance to veterans in the Upstate, SC and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the organization, ensuring effective implementation of the mission and vision.
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial resources and partnerships for sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including veterans, community organizations, government agencies, and corporate partners.
- Oversee program development and implementation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to veterans.
- Lead and manage a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including financial management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for serving the veteran community and a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face.
- Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, preferably in a veterans-focused or social services context.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and corporate partnerships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities, with a track record of achieving goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of nonprofit governance, financial management, and compliance.
- Prior military service and familiarity with the veteran support landscape are highly desirable.
