Always a pleasure….

Welcome home, Firefighter Ray Hernandez! 🚒🔥
After 14 days on the front lines, FF Hernandez has officially returned to Lewisville after deploying to Childress, Texas, with Strike Team 201. From December 19th through January 2nd, Ray and his fellow firefighters worked through the holidays to provide critical wildland fire protection.
Wildland assignments are grueling work, but they are a testament to the "Texas Pride" of mutual aid. It was an honor for LFD to work alongside these professional departments to keep our state safe:
• Smith County ESD 2
• Amarillo Fire Department
• Nacogdoches Fire Department
• Greenville Fire Department
• Mesquite Fire Department
• Stephenville Fire Department
• Kyle Fire Department
• DeSoto Fire Rescue
We are proud of Ray’s dedication and glad to have him back home safe in Lewisville.

Over the July 4th holiday, Greenville Fire-Rescue deployed personnel to support response efforts in the Hill Country following devastating floods in the region. Our crews are actively engaged in search and rescue operations and will remain on scene as long as needed or until relieved by other teams.

Our thoughts are with the families affected by this disaster, as well as the first responders working tirelessly in difficult and emotional conditions. We are grateful for the ongoing support from our Texas community and beyond as we stand together during this challenging time.
