↪️The vegan mozzarella costs approximately 3.2–3.3 times more per pound. You receive only half as much cheese, yet the case costs about $25 more.
The price difference usually comes from:
✅️Smaller production volume and fewer buyers
✅️Specialty ingredients and additional manufacturing
✅️Fewer manufacturers and distributors
✅️Higher shipping and storage costs
✅️Dairy’s much larger, established supply chain
✅️Slower restaurant sales, which can leave vegan products in inventory longer

Every 2-ounce portion costs about 83¢ for vegan cheese, compared with roughly 25¢ for dairy cheese—before labor, storage, waste, or other ingredients.
↪️That is why vegan cheese substitutions, extra cheese, and vegan menu items cannot reasonably be priced like their dairy equivalents.

Why Does Plant-Based Sometimes Cost More?

We often hear this question from the plant-based community, and it is a fair one.

In this example, the case sizes are equal—12 pounds each:

Beef: $71.90 per case
Beyond Meat: $111.99 per case

The plant-based option costs about 56% more before seasoning, preparation, cooking, packaging, and labor are added.

Vegan meat substitutes are specialty products with fewer suppliers and higher shipping and distribution costs. They may also sell more slowly than beef, causing restaurants to hold that inventory much longer—sometimes several times longer—while still covering refrigeration, storage, and potential product loss.

Our sauces are made fresh in-house using premium vegan ingredients. Because vegan mayonnaise costs nearly three times more than regular mayonnaise, all additional sauces are available for an extra charge.

A KIND REMINDER 🌱

Our goal is always to serve you fresh, quality food. Because every order is cooked to order, please allow approximately 15 minutes for preparation.

Our closing menu begins 30 minutes before closing and applies to both in-person and online orders. The kitchen closes 15 minutes before our posted closing time, giving our small team time to clean, restock and properly close out the day.

A quick update fan favorites💚

We were expecting these items to be back, but our vegan onion rings are no longer available for delivery.

As for the vegan sour cream, our distributor stopped carrying the brand we've used for years. The other options either don't taste good or are way too expensive, so we've decided to pull it from the menu to keep things consistent.

We’re also discontinuing our bottled sauces. Between the long shipping times and needing to focus on getting customer orders out, we just can't keep them in stock.

The Smoke Turkee Sandwich will be removed from our menu, but may become a kids meal option in the near future.
