Greentown Commercial District has been designated to be on the National and Indiana Register of Historic Places. On August 13,2019 a presentation of National Register Certificates was made in the DNR amphitheater at the Indiana State Fair. The following persons were present to accept the certificate; Scott Deyoe, President Greentown Town Council and Rachel Jenkins, board member of Greentown Historical Society. The gentleman in the middle, Paul Diebold, Indiana DNR, Division of Historic Preservation and Archeology, presented the certificate.

n the Round Barn at the 2022 Howard County Fair from 6-9pm now through Saturday—a friendly, no-cost free throw shooting competition between schools: Eastern, Taylor, Western, Northwestern, Kokomo and Haworth. All junior and senior high basketball team players are invited to shoot 10 free throws (one time only, please!). We will record how many you make for your school. The average percentage for each school will be calculated on Saturday evening, and the winner will have free throw shooting bragging-rights for the next 12 months.

2022 Historical Society Veterans calendars available for $10.00 at the History Center 103 E. Main St. The center is open Saturdays and Mondays 1-4. Please use back door from parking lot for easier access.
