Westmoreland County Blind Association The WCBA provides services and programs for individuals with visual, intellectual and physical disabilities.

Since 1948, the Westmoreland County Blind Association’s mission has been to improve the quality of life for the sight impaired and physically challenged individuals as well as to assist in the prevention of blindness. To fulfill this mission, WCBA provides services and programs to individuals that enhance productivity and independence; and educates the community about eye disease, damage prevention and detection. WCBA offers a variety of retail products and business services- from document destruction to manufacturing. All proceeds from these services are used to fund programs that benefit the individuals we serve.

🚒🔥 WCBA Visits the Fire Station! 👨‍🚒

Our consumers enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 2!

Fire Chief Jon gave everyone a tour of the station, let them try on firefighter helmets, and answered all their questions. They also learned important fire safety tips and what to do in an emergency.

Duty Driver Doug showed the group the various firefighting tools and equipment and explained how each is used. Everyone even got to take home their very own firefighter helmet! 🚒👨‍🚒

❤️ A big THANK YOU to Chief Jon, Doug, and Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department Company No. 2 for taking the time to make this such a fun, informative, and memorable experience for our consumers!
