WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?
Made a difference! 💜 Bailey and I (Mom) met Mike from Child Life Oncology to deliver 92 pairs of YOUR sponsored pajamas!! (there are still a few packs arriving over the next few weeks too) The GS cookies 🍪 were a HUGE hit for ⭐️ the 7th year ⭐️ and the tabletop arts & toys will be enjoyed by so many sweet faces during their stay. We also brought Halloween bags to set aside for next month when they do an in-house trick or treat 👻 .
WHY A NEW ONLINE WISH LIST?
We got an email request from CHP and had to think on our feet how to quickly fill it given the “2 pairs left” freak out that we just had. This allowed us to put in specific sizes and quantities so we’re not storing sizes not needed AND that NO butt goes uncovered. We loved 🥰 that you fulfilled them so QUICKLY 🏃!! 5 DAYS!!!! This Wish List is still set to Public and will be open until the next one so that you can repurchase anything, refer it to friends or contribute to the Gift Card Fund if you missed out. It WILL ✅ allow more than what is requested to be purchased. Items will be set aside for December. The Gift Card Fund will cover what’s needed between drives and for the next list of bottoms requested. While we try to put different price points and items, the “Most Wanted” (and needed) will always be pajama bottoms 😊
WHERE DOES EVERYTHING GO?
There is a very special closet 🚪 on the 9th floor at Children’s that a few have access to that keeps the many special items that are donated for the Oncology kiddos. We have 5 pajama totes that were basically empty. This will get them through the next few months 🤞. As they do an inventory this Fall 🍁, we will get a list from them to get them back up to speed.
SO WHAT’S NEXT??
Since our admission and diagnosis started on Christmas Eve 🧑🎄 and Ringing the Bell 🔔 to end treatment was in July (Christmas in July 😉), we would like to do a twice a year online event now that college, boards and the Boss starting practice is done and underway. So, LOOK OUT 👀 for our Christmas 🎄 and Christmas in July 🌴 Wish Lists.
If you ever happen upon great deals that you can’t pass up on art projects, activity and coloring books and ESPECIALLY PJ’s, we can accept brand new in package items at our office in Greensburg or can meet you. It’s another idea for church, youth and sports groups in between our online Wish Lists 📝 Sorry for the long post, we want to share as much of this journey that we’re taking TOGETHER 👫 as possible.
